The Creative Theme The Parade is a year-long educational effort geared towards its participating marching groups. Each year, a Creative Theme is selected, developed into a series of Israel-related topics, and introduced to participants through the guidance of the Parade's educational staff. This year, the Parade will celebrate the many and varied aspects of Israel's Ongoing Heritage through the creative theme: Lights… Camera… Action… ISRAEL! With the guidance of the Parade staff, each participating marching group selects a sub-theme and develops it into a creative presentation to bring to Fifth Avenue on Parade Day. With colorful banners, costumes and props, marchers come together on Parade Day in a spectacular show of unity and pageantry.
