Salute to Israel Parade 2010 - Sunday May 23rd! 

 

The Salute to Israel Parade is the largest event in the world celebrating the Anniversary of Israel's Independence!

As we look towards Israel's 62nd year, we will once again be joined by tens of thousands of participants stepping off on Fifth Avenue, cheered on by an expected one million spectators. Parade spectators will watch a sea of blue and white, kachol v'lavan, as community leaders, American and  Israeli dignitaries, celebrities, floats and marching bands come together with spirit, joy and enthusiasm. 

 

 

Participants will include: 

  • Shofar blowers opening the Parade
  • Celebrities, dignitaries, and politicians
  • Beautifully decorated floats
  • Lively marching bands
  • Street performers, clowns and jugglers
  • Scores of motorcycle riders bearing Israeli flags
  • Israeli flags and decorative banners blanketing Fifth Avenue

 

 

Parade Route and Time Span:

The Parade route begins at 57th Street and Fifth Avenue and continues north on Fifth Avenue to 79th Street. The Parade will take place from 12 PM to 5 PM, Rain or Shine.
